Fishing Tours Playa del Carmen – FAQ
How much does a private fishing charter in Playa del Carmen cost?
Prices are per boat, not per person: 4 hours cost USD 340 (up to 4 guests), 6 hours USD 440 and 8 hours USD 540 (up to 5 guests each).
How many people fit on the boat?
Our 27-foot boat takes up to 5 guests. The 4-hour charter is available for up to 4 guests.
What is included in the fishing tour?
Penn International and Shimano rods and reels, lures, live bait caught during the trip, fishing licenses, drinks and snacks, snorkeling gear and free fish cleaning after the trip.
Where does the fishing trip start?
We meet at Coco Beach in Playa del Carmen, on CTM Avenue at Calle Albatros. From there you walk to the beach, where the captain is waiting with the boat.
What time do the fishing trips depart?
Morning departures are at 6, 7 and 8 am, afternoon departures at 12, 1 and 2 pm. The earlier you go, the better the fishing conditions usually are.
Do I need fishing experience?
No. Our captain and crew set up the gear, explain every step and help you land your fish – beginners are very welcome.
Are the fishing tours suitable for children?
Yes. The charters are private and family-friendly, and the crew looks after young anglers. For families with small children we recommend the 4-hour trip.
What fish can I catch in Playa del Carmen?
Barracuda, wahoo, tuna and kingfish bite all year. Mahi-mahi, sailfish and marlin peak in May and June, amberjack from October to March.
How do I book and pay?
Book online on our booking page and pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Alternatively reserve via WhatsApp with an 80 USD deposit and pay the rest in cash (USD or MXN) before departure.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe, we reschedule your trip at no extra cost or refund your payment.
