Charter Fishing Playa del Carmen – FAQ

What is a private fishing charter?

The boat, the captain and the crew are booked exclusively for your group. You never share the boat with strangers, and the trip is planned around your wishes.

Which charter durations can I choose?

You can choose 4, 6 or 8 hours. Popular combinations are 5 hours of fishing plus 1 hour of snorkeling, or 6 hours of fishing plus 2 hours of snorkeling.

How much does a fishing charter cost?

The price is per boat: USD 340 for 4 hours (up to 4 guests), USD 440 for 6 hours and USD 540 for 8 hours (up to 5 guests).

Who is the captain?

Captain "Gato" is a local with 30 years of commercial and sport fishing experience off the Riviera Maya. He knows where the fish are in every season.

Can we combine fishing and snorkeling?

Yes. Snorkeling takes place at reefs about 8 miles from Playa del Carmen, and snorkeling gear is on board for everyone.

Is a fishing license required?

Fishing licenses for all guests are included in the charter price – you don't need to organize anything.

Can I keep the fish we catch?

Yes, depending on species and regulations. The crew cleans your catch for free after the trip.

Is the charter suitable for birthdays or groups of friends?

Yes. Families, friends, birthday and bachelor groups of up to 5 people book the boat privately and fish together.

Is there a discount for early booking?

If you book at least 2 months in advance, we can offer special pricing or a custom package. Just contact us.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 24 hours before the trip, the deposit is kept as a cancellation fee. Within 24 hours the full price is charged. If the weather is unsafe, we reschedule at no extra cost.
